Description.

Someplace Safe

Someplace Safe is the exclusive provider of comprehensive services, including shelter and advocacy, for anyone experiencing or having experienced domestic violence in Trumbull County. We provide advocacy, education, supportive services, emergency 24-hour crisis intervention, and shelter to aid families.

Ohio Early Intervention

Early Intervention is a statewide system that provides coordinated services to parents and caregivers who feel their infant or toddler may be behind others their age or have concerns their child should be walking, talking, or meeting other milestones they have not yet met. Infants and toddlers learn best through everyday experiences and interactions with familiar people in familiar contexts.

Safe Path

Safe Path allows survivors of domestic violence and their children to pursue safe and healthy lives by providing safe, transitional housing. Through our secure building, there are 11 two-bedroom units available at a subsidized cost. There is also a case management office on-site to help participants increase safety, self-sufficiency, and self-empowerment through rebuilding lives and obtaining permanent housing.

Freedom House

Freedom House is a 14-bed transitional housing facility for veterans. We strive to improve the quality of life for our veterans, and we do this by providing support through intensive case management and access to community resources dedicated to enhancing self-sufficiency.

Place of Peace

Place of Peace provides a safe environment to conduct supervised visitations and safe exchanges for families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, child abuse, or conflict during exchanges. We serve families that are in need of supervised visits or exchanges.

Valley Health Services

Valley Health Services offers primary care, dental, and pharmacy services among their longstanding behavioral healthcare services, which they have been providing to our community for nearly 65 years. In 2010, the program joined Family & Community Services, and they’re committed to serving all area residents, from children and teens to senior citizens.

Mobile Meals

Mobile Meals works to provide regular nutritional meals to low-income, elderly, and disabled individuals in Summit, Cuyahoga, and Portage County. Mobile Meals offers home-delivered meals that are either hot or frozen, depending on the individuals’ needs. The meals come from dietician-created monthly menus that meet daily nutrition requirements.

Portage Area Transitional Housing

The PATH program continues to provide transitional housing in Portage County and works with Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority (PMHA) and private landlords to house families in need. The PATH program supports participants in finding secure, permanent housing and increasing economic well-being through comprehensive, supportive services.
