Someplace Safe and Solace Center, located in Warren, Ohio, are hosting their first annual Golf Outing fundraiser to benefit the thousands of victims they serve each year who are impacted by domestic and intimate partner violence.
Someplace Safe and Solace Center are essential to those affected by domestic violence in Trumbull County. In fact, Someplace Safe is the exclusive provider of comprehensive domestic violence services, and Solace Center is the only private, non-profit supervised visitation and safe exchange program in Trumbull. With domestic violence rates continuing to be problematic for many cities nationwide, the services provided are essential to our community.
Last year alone, Someplace Safe received 1,478 crisis calls and online chats through its 24/7 phone line and web support. It also provided emergency shelter to 134 adult and child victims of violence, and transitional housing to another 33 adult and child survivors. Each week, Solace Center serves an average of 48 children and their families by providing supervised visitations and exchanges.
The programs charge zero dollars for any services provided, and depend greatly upon grant funding, donations, and community support to continue the work they do.
Join them in their first annual Golf Outing will be held at The Trumbull County Country Club on August 28th, 2023 at 10:00am. The outing includes registration prizes, boxed lunches, a buffet dinner, an open bar, a dessert station, beverages on the course, door prizes, and a 50/50 raffle. Foursome and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Visit fcsserves.org/SPS to learn more or contact Matthew Slater, Director of Development, at 330-687-8136 or [email protected].
