Senior Citizens Opportunity for Personal Endeavor (SCOPE) assists older persons (50+) in maintaining their independence and being part of the community. We provide senior adults with daily recreational activities, educational events, lunch, socialization, and fitness programs.
Unified Resources Recreation (URR) provides recreational activities to individuals with disabilities through our teen and adult programs. The goal of this program is to provide recreation, social, and leisure opportunities for teens and adults with developmental disabilities who are eligible to receive services through the Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
AmeriCorps Seniors Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) seeks to connect folks 55 and better to volunteer service opportunities by highlighting their lifetime of experiences. Using their time and talents, our volunteers give back to our community and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
The Portage County Senior Center offers social and recreational activities, as well as daily lunches, to all Portage County senior citizens ages 50 and better. Weekly activities include bingo, exercise class, card games, dominoes, art class, and tai chi.
