Senior Citizens Opportunity for Personal Endeavor

Our mission is to inspire, strengthen, and enrich adult lives in Trumbull County.

Senior Citizens Opportunity for Personal Endeavor (SCOPE) assists older persons (50+) in maintaining their independence and being part of the community. We provide senior adults with daily recreational activities, educational events, lunch, socialization, and fitness programs.

SCOPE also has a supportive services division for Trumbull’s retired and elderly population. This division provides social work and counseling, a traveling food pantry and grocery deliveries to homebound seniors, prescription assistance and Medicaid/Medicare counsel, and an emergency assistance program. SCOPE also offers free income tax assistance through AARP during the months of February through April each year, serving over 2,000 clients through this program alone.

SCOPE offers a wide variety of choices for seniors ranging from nutrition, health, and exercise programs to social events, in a clean, safe environment for older adults to convene and enjoy life with dignity.

Making An Impact

“I don’t know what I would do without SCOPE. I am a disabled veteran and was just sitting at home, but now I travel to many of the centers for BINGO, Mahjongg, and other activities. I appreciate the fact that the staff has asked me to help out, and I now volunteer at many of SCOPE’s fundraising events. My life is now totally changed for the better.”
