Our mission is to help young adults who have experienced hardships such as abuse, neglect, and homelessness transition into stabilized independence.
Next Step is a community-based program that focuses on empowering victimized youth on their path to self-sufficiency. Our case managers will assist youth in securing housing, employment, education, transportation, and health care. We work with clients to create a developed case plan situated around their individual needs.
WHO WE SERVE
We work with young adults aged 18-24 in Portage and Geauga Counties who are often coming out of traumatic situations and are either homeless or at-risk for homelessness. We help these individuals transition into a more stable situation and create a plan that has sustainable goals that help achieve self-sufficiency. Next Step can also assist with finding housing and employment or applying for college and vocational training.
