Housing and Emergency Support Services

Housing and Emergency Support Services (HESS) believes that all families and individuals who are experiencing a crisis that threatens their well-being receive the services needed to stabilize and resolve the crisis.

Family & Community Services started out in 1941 with just two programs – HESS was one of them.

Since 1941, HESS has been helping low-income households in need. HESS offers a variety of resources in order to provide the maximum amount of support that families and individuals in crisis need. If you have received an eviction notice, need information and assistance to access community resources, are currently homeless, or need support to resolve a housing emergency, please give us a call.

The HESS staff will work with you to create long-term solutions through crisis intervention, short-term case management, temporary financial assistance, and the coordination of supportive services based on your needs. Together, we will create a plan to increase your stability.
