Center of Hope and Kent Social Services’ Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Drive and Distribution
Ravenna, OH – Many of our neighbors struggle to meet their basic needs and are unfortunately, facing hunger on a daily basis. Of the almost 500,000 food pantry recipients that Kent Social Services and Center of Hope serve each month, almost 50% are children. This holiday season with your support, Center of Hope and Kent Social Services worked hard to make sure that families in our community did not have to worry about where their next meal was and if they were going to be able to afford holiday gifts for their children.
In November and December of 2019, donations of non-perishable foods such as Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Canned Sweet Potatoes/ Yams, Canned or Boxed Potatoes, Gravy, Jello, Cake Mix, Muffin Mix, Soup, Chicken Broth, Rice, Pasta, Apple Sauce were welcomed. Many of our community partners donated toys, clothes, food to help our neighbors in need. Gifts that were distributed during this holiday season enhanced the well-being of many individuals in our community.
